Crown Worldwide Group, a global leader in international relocation
and storage services, presented its United Kingdom division
with the 2006 Best Operation Award for accomplishments and
improvements made in the relocations, warehousing and logistics
divisions.
CEO and Founder of Crown Worldwide Group Jim Thompson presented
the 2006 Best Operation Award to UK and Ireland Managing Director
Barry Koolen during a seminar in Paris, France, held in May
2007.
"This award collectively honours all the men and women
of Crown throughout the United Kingdom who have worked so
hard to accomplish this outstanding achievement," said
Jim Thompson.
In addition to improving all aspects of Crown's businesses,
opening a new branch in Bristol and acquiring environmental
management certificates, Crown UK also took the initiative
in 2006 to start a new customer enquiry centre to effectively
manage new internet sales enquiries into the business. The
National Internet Leads Sales Centre, based in Leeds, manages
a large number of new customer leads each year generated from
its internet sources.
"In evaluating all factors, including financial performance,
service improvement, diversification, as well as attitude
and staff performance, it was clear to the Executive Board
that Crown UK was the very deserving winner of the Operation
of the Year Award," said Thompson.
Barry Koolen stated, "We have an excellent group of

their support has been overwhelming."
